Brazilian Jiu Jitsu or BJJ for short, is a grappling based martial arts which promotes the concept that anyone of any size can successfully defend against a bigger, stronger opponent. The aim is to control of an opponent by both taking them to the floor and to use your knowledge of BJJ through leverage, positioning and technique to make the submit. Our particular type of BJJ can be used for self-defense, grappling tournaments (Gi and no Gi) or to complement your mixed martial arts training for use in MMA competitions.
Our head coach Oliver Geddes is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu 2nd degree black belt under 10-time World Champion Roger Gracie with an extensive and impressive medal record at national and international level.
Mixed Level BJJ: Tues & Thurs 6:30am-7:30am
Gi Fundamentals BJJ Class: Mon, Tues and Thurs 6pm – 7pm, Wed 7:30pm -8:30pm
Gi Advanced Class: Tues, Thurs 7pm – 8:30pm, Wed 6pm-7:30pm
No Gi BJJ Advanced: Mon, Fri 7pm – 8:30pm
Submission Grappling for MMA Beginners/Intermediate: Tues 8.30pm – 9.30pm
